What a fun week full of theme days and so many activities! Today is our last. day of practice except the 13-18 have practice tomorrow from 8:30-9:45. It is also. the last day for stroke and turn 12:00-1:00, RVSP on Swimtopia. Tonight is our Pasta Feed! Friday is Funny Awards at 10:00.

Saturday is the big day- CHAMPS!

This year, our theme for Champs is officially QUACK ATTACK! We are going all-in on the rubber ducky vibes, and we need your help to make a massive splash. See the events email from Danielle for more details.

Champs At Leigh High School:

• 5210 Leigh Ave, San Jose, CA 95124
• Please no body paint, no confetti, no zinc oxide colored sunscreen, no chalk. Please help us keep the facilities clean!
• Tech suits are allowed if they are USA swim approved
• All suits and caps can only have the Oaktree logo or no logo at all. They can’t have the logo of another swim team or school etc. You will be DQ’d if your suit or cap has another logo on it. If you have questions please ask.

• Champs swim events program-Since there is no printed program this year you can view this digital copy. Time drops will be our timing system so we will get the code sent out to you as well.
• Clerk of the Course at Champs- MUST READ

ALL swimmers MUST check in by 7:15 No exceptions. THIS IS A CHANGE DUE TO THE SIZE OF THIS MEET 

• ALL swimmers MUST warm up 7:40-8:00. This is key. It is a larger pool and the younger ones need to get used to it. All swimmers should do their stroke count for backstroke to make sure they have it correct for this pool.
• This is a long day and we need everyone’s help to make it successful. Please bring a lot of water and healthy snacks for your swimmers. There will be food trucks available. 8 food trucks, one with breakfast items, 2 have cold treats. There will also be a farmers market happening in the parking lot.
• Bathrooms are available, but locker rooms are off limits.
• We will have 20 yards of space on the blacktop behind the pool for our easy ups. Please share with multiple families so we all can fit. We believe the space should hold easy ups 2 x 10 so 20 in total. See map below.
• Clerk of the Course Rules:

1. No Big Buddies or parents in the queue
2. No yelling or chants
3. No standing on benches
4. Minimal amount of items allowed at clerk of the course (water/drink and towel/parka). No sandals, food/snacks.
5. Coaches and Jr. Coaches should help monitor and manage swimmers

• 7:40 - 8:00 Warmup C - Oaktree, Silver Creek
• 7:45 - 8:00 AM scratches due to computers
• 7:30 Stroke & Turn - meet outside pool front gates at circle planter
• 7:30 Starter meeting by the starter
• 7:45 Clerk of the Course Clerks - meet at clerk of the course tents
• 7:45 Marshals - meet under scoreboard
• 8:15 - 8:25 Opening Ceremonies, National Anthem
• 8:30 Meet Start
