We’ve got a splash-tastic end of season lineup of summer fun coming your way! From pool parties to Great America, spirit week to pasta pot luck night—there’s something for every Shark. Check out all the details below and get ready to dive in!

🎢 Great America Day – Tuesday, July 8 @ 1:00 PM

Let’s head to Great American together for an afternoon of amusement park fun with your Shark friends! Please buy your own tickets and meet us inside the park around the wave pool at 1:00pm. There will be a group that will hang there. Sharks families and friends are welcome to coordinate locations and fun via the WhatsApp group as well. Don’t forget to wear your Oaktree gear so that we can spot each other easily. Whether you’re into rides, water slides, or carnival games—we can’t wait to see you there!

💦 13+ Swim Event – Thursday, July 10 @ 7:00pm

Our next teen hangout for swimmers ages 13 and up is coming up! The last one was a blast, and we’re excited to do it again. Join your fellow teen swimmers for food, drinks, and fun at the Patel residence (5963 Glowing Court, San Jose) from 7:00-9:00pm. Feel free to bring a snack to share if you’d like, but most importantly—just bring yourself and a towel, and be ready for a good time! Please RSVP your teen so we can plan for food and fun!

🎉 Champs Spirit Week – July 14–18

The countdown to Champs is ON—and we’re turning up the Shark spirit all week long! Each day at practice will have a fun theme, and swimmers are encouraged to dress up and show off their team pride. From silly to sporty, we can’t wait to see your creativity and energy on deck (and in the water)! Let’s make it the most spirited week of the season!

Theme Days: 

• 🌺 Monday, July 14 – Hawaiian Day 
• 🦸 Tuesday, July 15 – Superhero Day 
• 🏀 Wednesday, July 16 – Sports Day 
• 😴 Thursday, July 17 – Pajama Day 
• 🦈 Friday, July 18 – Sharks Spirit Day (Funny Awards, No swim practice)

🍕 Pizza & Swim Party – Wednesday, July 16, 11:45 AM–1:15 PM

Join us for a mid-day pool party to keep the Spirit Week fun going! 🦈💦 Enjoy some free swim, hang out with your Shark friends, and grab a slice (or two!) of pizza! 🍕Please RSVP on SwimTopia by July 13 so we know how much pizza to order. Don’t forget to bring your own drinks! Let’s make a splash and celebrate together!

🍝 Pasta Feed Potluck & Car Decorating– Thursday, July 17, 5:30–8:30 PM

Let’s get pumped for Champs with one of our most fun events of the season! 💙🦈 We’ll have everything you need to show off your Shark pride: car decorating, nail painting, sign making … and more! In addition to the spirit fun, dive into our team-wide potluck and swim party! There will be music, food, and good vibes for the whole family!

Sign-ups to bring food or drinks are posted on SwimTopia. Please bring a dish to share, and be sure to RSVP so we know how many Sharks to expect!  We will also have a brownie and cookie bake off contest! Make your most famous creations, label them with a fun name, but leave your name OFF of it. Our coaches will pick their favorite one! Let’s make one of our final team events a memorable one—can’t wait to celebrate with you!

😂 Funny Awards – Friday, July 18 at 10:00 AM

Join us poolside for laughs and memories as coaches hand out Funny Awards to each and every swimmer! Be sure to wear your Sharks gear and get pumped for Champs the next day! There will be NO PRACTICE that morning. Please RSVP on SwimTopia so coaches know who will be there. Parents are welcome to join and watch! We will also have the car decorating materials at this event as well.
