Hi Oaktree Sharks Families!

What a great morning we had together, but the excitement doesn’t stop there. We’ve got a fun-filled week ahead—here’s everything you need to know:

📸 Team Photos & Root Beer Floats – (Tomorrow) Sunday, June 8

• Arrive on time at 10:30 AM for individual, buddy, and sibling photos (please wear your team suit!)
• Team photo at 11:30 AM sharp
• Root beer floats will be served right after the team photo
• We need a few float scoopers—please sign up on SwimTopia if you’re able to help
• Photo ordering info and flyers are attached to this email

🎨 Tie-Dye Day – Monday, June 9

• Swimmers should bring a white shirt labeled with their name and drop it on the grass area before practice (so it can soak)
• After practice, they’ll tie-dye their shirt and take it home in a Ziploc bag with wash instructions
• Washed shirts should be returned on Monday, June 16 for logo ironing
• Parents are welcome to join the fun! Bring your own white shirt and $10 to cover materials and the iron-on

🏊 Open Swim – Wednesday, June 11

• 2:00–4:00 PM at the Oaktree Pool
• Free and just for Oaktree Sharks
• Parents, please stay with swimmers age 6 and under

⚾ Sharks at the San Jose Giants Night – Thursday, June 12 at 6:30 PM

• Join us for a fun night out at the ballpark!
• Try to get free tickets from Rotten Robbie or purchase your own
• We’ll sit together along the first base line near the top of the bleachers
• Don’t forget to wear your Oaktree gear to represent!

🛶 Cardboard Regatta – Thursday, June 26, 5:30-7:30

This is one of our favorite events of the season, and even though it’s a few weeks away, it’s time to start planning your boats and teams now! Click here to learn more about the event on Swimtopia.

• Boats must be made from cardboard and duct tape only (no kickboard-shaped boats this year—your vessel must carry a person!)
• We will have the following events: individual, buddy races, and group races (2+ people). There will be prizes for each event - and even a few creative ones as well!
• Sign-ups will open the week before at the pool - make sure to sign up for which events you will be participating in! You can compete in as many races as you'd like!
• And yes, adults, we remember last year—come ready for fun! 😄
