Good Morning,

What a great meet! So many improved times! 77% of our races were improved times! We did lose the meet overall, but so many wins with our improved times and heat winners! Ribbons will be passed out on TUESDAY after your swimmer’s practice. Your swimmer will go pick up their ribbons from the family file box AND get lollipops from the coaches for each improved time. Relays don’t have improved times.  Our tradition is 1 lollipop for each improved time at a meet!  Thank you to everyone who made Saturday’s meet such a success! Results are on Swimtopia individually for each of your swimmers, as a whole team under swim meet results, and posted at the pool to left of the boys bathroom.

We’ve started a WhatsApp so we can all communicate easily. This will not be the way I communicate team information. This will be used just for parents to chat. Please join if you’d like.

Twin Lakes State Beach

Public Parking off of East Cliff and 8th Ave. (2222 E Cliff Dr Santa Cruz, CA 95062)

Come join us for a fun day on the beach at Twin Lakes Beach. Bring your own food and beach equipment. We will all meet to hang out together. Come whenever it works for you!

Friday, June 7th Tie Dye

-This event costs $10 per person for dye, supplies, chemicals, and shark logo. Venmo, or check to Oaktree Sharks or Cash.

-Bring your own white 100% cotton shirt prior to your practice. Your swimmers can make a shirt, and parents can make a shirt! We wear these to champs as well as to swim meets!

-Make sure your name is written on the inside tag in permanent marker.

-Bring it to us on the grassy hill BEFORE you get in the water. We will soak it while you swim.

-After your practice you will go to the grass area and tie-dye your shirt.

-It will be sent home with you, with directions, and a cleaning solution.

-Bring your washed, dry shirt back on Friday, June 14th and we will iron on a transfer shark logo for the back!

Sunday, June 9th Picture Day and Rootbeer Floats

Picture Day is scheduled on Sunday, June 9th with individual photos starting promptly at 10:30am. Please arrive early and be ready in your swimsuit. Team photo to follow at 11:30am.

All swimmers get a free memory photo (team picture and individual) and a button. To order photos, please do so ahead of time by scanning the QR code attached. Buddy forms will be available at the pool.

Root beer floats to follow immediately after the group photo is taken.

We are looking for a volunteer to purchase the rootbeer and ice cream- keep your receipt we will reimburse you.
