The stroke and turn clinic today went very well!  All the swimmers who attended made huge growth on everything they worked on.  It's a great opportunity to focus on a specific skill you need help with. Remember if your child attended today please Venmo $20 per swimmer to @Oaktree-sharks and in the notes write stroke and turn clinic.

Stroke and Turn Clinics

We are doing 4 stroke and turn clinics for the rest of the season. $20 a swimmer, pay via Venmo to @Oaktree-sharks or cash. Each coach will have up to 10 swimmers that they will be working on turns, dives, pull downs and other areas they need to improve on.

How to sign up:

You will not be RSVPing your swimmer, you will be filling in a job slot so I can cap the amount of swimmers we have. Please fill in the JOB section on this event on Swimtopia with your name. You cannot do more than 1 spot, but you and your spouse can each sign up for a spot if you have 2 swimmers that want to attend. If your the only adult on the account, or you have more than 2 swimmers please email Liz Westgate and she will add your swimmer to the list. We will max out at 40 swimmers for each stroke and turn clinic. When you sign up it will show as a job and with the adult name- but we will know it's your child coming to swim!

Private Lessons

Each coach will be offering private lessons in 30 minute sessions for $30. You can pay via Venmo or cash directly to the coach.

Tomorrow is the last day to submit your Coaches Gifts!

Fiona is so fabulous for putting together our coach gifts, but she leaves on vacation soon.  So tomorrow is our last day to submit our coach gift donation. Our coaches have gone above and beyond to help every swimmer this season improve.  Let's show our appreciation!  A suggested, but optional, contribution of $50 per swimmer is appreciated for our 4 coaches, Brendon, Cade, Darius and Eric along with our 16 Jr. coaches.  Please send donation to Fiona's Venmo (@FionaEh) by Wednesday June 28th so we can get everything organized for them.

If your swimmer would also like to make a thank you note to the coaches or jr. coaches please give it to Carrie or put it in the Toolson folder by Monday July 10th.

Friday is your last day to submit your ad for the Champs program!

We are all looking forward to a regular Champs this year. With that being said, the league sells programs which contain all of the pre-seeded Heat/Lane Assignments. The program contains a section for each team to encourage our swimmers.

Every family is invited to submit a photo and brief message to include in our team’s section of the program. Please see the pricing below of the sizes we are currently offering:

• 1/8 of a page: $12.50 (send in vertical layout)
• 1/4 of a page: $25.00 (send in either horizontal or vertical layout)
• 1/2 of a page: $50.00 (most commonly used for aging out swimmers - send in horizontal layout)
• Full Page: $100.00 (most commonly used for aging out swimmers)

All photos submitted must be in high resolution for best quality.

While you may not choose to buy a program at Champs, I still strongly encourage you to make an ad. The kids will borrow their friend's program and they all gravitate to see what is written, so, let’s show our swimmers how proud we are of them.

To participate, please send me an email ([email protected]) with a short message and/or a photo (jpeg format in high resolution). I will do the formatting of the pages.
