Volunteer sign ups and Meet RSVP- Volunteer spots are open for Time Trials on 5/27. Everyone needs to sign up and RSVP! Sign ups and volunteer spots close Tuesday! It is required that everyone RSVP to every event and volunteer for every meet.

Practice each day this week Monday-Friday except Thursday: 

4:00-4:45-6u and 7/8 

4:45-5:30 9/10 and 11/12 

5:30-6:30 13/14 and 15/18 

4:00-4:30 6u and 7/8 

4:30-5:00 9/10 and 11/12 

No practice for 13-18 b/c of our Sharks Kick Off Party!

Wednesday 5/24 2 week trial ends, registration fees due $220 per swimmer plus $155 for non hoa families. Check (Oaktree Sharks) or Venmo (@oaktree-sharks). You can mail checks to 1249 Dorchester Lane San Jose, Ca 95118 or put into the McCelleis file folder at the pool.

Thursday 5/25 Sharks Kick off party 5-7pm

Get ready to make a splash at the Sharks kick off party, where you’ll meet your buddy. You’ll get to know your buddy on a whole new level, as you splash, race, and cheer each other on. Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer or a newbie to the Sharks team, you’ll feel right at home in the company of your new buddy.

Swimmers have the option of swimming from 5-6. Please bring your own dinner and blanket to enjoy a picnic by the pool. We will also do an Oaktree clothing/swimsuit exchange. If you have old Oaktree merchandise that doesn't fit, please bring it to donate to another swimmer!

Tuesday 5/23 Clothing Order Deadline Extended

Clothing orders have been extended till Tuesday. Now is the time to get your sharks gear for the season! Show your spirit by wearing sharks t-shirts, sweatshirts, pj pants and tank tops! Oaktree Apparel Link

Saturday 5/27 Time trials -Arrive and check in at 7:00. If you have not checked in by 7:30 you will be scratched from the meet. Every family needs to volunteer for 1 shift. PLEASE RSVP on Swimtopia it is called MEET ENTRY on the schedule. RSVP and Volunteer sign ups close Tuesday, May 23rd.

Thursday, June 8th- Bingo Night

We are excited to announce that we will be adding "Bingo Night" at the pool as one of our new events this season. We are looking for a volunteer to lead this fun-filled event on June 8th from 7-8:30 pm) We can't wait to see everyone come together for a night of laughter, friendly competition, and of course, some great prizes & treats. If you are interested and want to know what the volunteer duty entails, please reach out to Sogol ([email protected] and Carrie [email protected]) Promise it won't be a heavy lift and it will be a simple event.

 

Swimsuits

The Finnigan-Heil family has a 22y girls Sport sharks swimsuit that doesn't fit. If you would like to purchase it please email Laura at [email protected]

The Fisher family has a Jammer in size 28Y in the new Sporti serene print. If you would like to purchase it pleas email Rommellyn at [email protected]

Pool Courtesy

Please make sure you return your chairs to the tables and close the umbrellas after watching your children swim. This helps keep everything in good shape and keeps the pool deck clean. The umbrellas and tables will flip if we do not close them. The chairs need to be returned to the tables so we can keep the grass healthy. Also, a lot of items are being left behind. Please make sure your area is cleaned up when you leave and that your child has all of their belongings.

2022 Best Times: If you want to see your swimmer's best times from last year they are posted at the pool outside of the boy's bathroom. They are also attached in this email.
